How has everyone been? Obviously it’s been a year, plus it looks like I’ve caught everyone in another “Say your last goodbyes, Oppo is doomed!” state. Brings back memories, I can recall at least a handful of prio r instances where this has happened. Hopefully it once again turns out to be a false alarm. Meanwhile, I’ve just started a new job which will shortly lead to a new city and a new car. Hate to see Oppo die if that’s actually what’s happening, but regardless, if anyone wants to stay in touch and hasn’t already, you can find me !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Sadly it sounds like this one is real, as confirmed by Jalopnik’s EIC. I suppose G/O could still change their minds, but they seem committed this time.

It’s funny, looking back on years of oppo, to see how the place has changed and yet how much is still the same. It’s fun seeing some of the old guard when these shutdowns happen, even if it is somewhat bittersweet. Hope they find a new home, even if I don’t comment much these days it’s good seeing the community carry on...
